Yvonne has a wonderful eye for the arts and lives in a very beautiful part of the world where inspiration comes abundant.  She is so talented creating works of art in many different mediums such as pastels, pen and ink, digital art and photography.  Yvonne’s work caught my eye and we quickly became friends.  She has been very helpful in our quest to get our work published and more recognized.

Yvonne’s Bio:

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, of Austrian and English descent, Yvonne Ayoub is
classically trained in the Visual, Performing and Creative Arts.

After a successful career as a ballet dancer, performing on stage & television and teaching dance for many years, she, with her Lebanese husband, built and ran a successful, London-based Print and Design company, while raising their two children. Having travelled extensively since childhood, the one constant in her life, from her earliest years, has been her passion for painting and drawing.

Today, as full-time established artist, illustrator, muralist and photographer, Yvonne works mostly to commission, in a wide variety of media, using a broad range of artistic disciplines. With her imaginative use of colour and keen observation skills, she seeks in her work to reflect and promote the rich diversity of the many fascinating cultures she has experienced throughout the wider global community. Constantly seeking artistic inspiration, Yvonne now divides her time between her homes in central London and the beautiful island of Skiathos, Greece.

It was 8° F this morning here in Springfield, Missouri.  There were a few decent clouds in the sky that would pick up the awesome color of sunrise, so I couldn’t resist getting out to take some new images.  Here are a few images for you to enjoy of this beautiful sunrise.

I’ll never forget the day when my father presented me with my first camera. It was a few weeks after my tenth birthday, and our family had just sailed back to Canada from France. I have to say, receiving the camera put me over the moon with excitement. I remember thinking something like, “If only I’d had my camera sooner, I could have taken pictures of the ship, the waves, the seagulls, the icebergs, the family and everything else!” I wouldn’t have had enough film- one of my lifelong problems!

From a youth, I was drawn to the fact of how wonderful and unique it was to be able to film and record the beautiful and memorable things that have always been so plentiful for me personally. How fortunate I’ve been when I consider what others have been through at the hands of others. It has always fascinated me how photography gives one the capability of preserving forever what would have otherwise been a forgotten person, entity or defining moment.

I retired in March 2006 after a long and pleasant career. Though still very busy, I can now spend even more time taking pictures! My wife gave me my first digital camera for our 38th wedding anniversary in 2005, that occasion being no less exhilarating than when I received my first camera. And now, I never run out of film!

Without digital technology, I’d never be having the level of fun with photography that I’m currently experiencing. I’ve found that experimenting with new photo techniques and creating digital designs for the first time has been truly pleasurable. My focus has never been on expensive equipment, but rather on the subject matter and composition of photographs. I’ve always maintained, if one doesn’t take the time to move the ketchup bottle out of the way for that family dinner photo – well, you know what I’m getting at!

From my Irish side I’ll phrase a hope for you- “May my photos & designs bring zeal to your doorstep, add zip to your gait and grant zest for a lifetime.”

I find that Will Borden has much the same style as me.  I guess that is what draws me toward his artwork to begin with however, the captivating colors and scenes he has managed to capture in his travels will keep you coming back for more.  In addition to photography Will Borden is an established artist.  There are many colorful prints to choose from.
